Certain versions of ESET products are scheduled for termination (End of life) during the year 2021.
For example, ESET Smart Security Business Edition 3.x and 4.x will be disconnected from update servers on July 15, 2021.
When the applicable product version reaches End of Life, and the termination process reaches the deadline:
- Module updates will not be provided (the product will no longer protect against new threats)
- The protection status of your ESET product will turn Red
- No new operating systems support will be provided
- No technical support or security and stability updates are available for these versions
- No new documentation will be created or updated
Some versions of ESET endpoint products for Windows will experience so-called "upgrade stages" before disconnection (this applies to unmanaged endpoints only).
