End of Life Policy Update
On July 1, 2020, ESET updated our End of Life policy to discontinue the use of Basic Support. The support levels for our products are now: Full Support, Limited Support, and End of Life. To ensure the highest level of support for your ESET security product, upgrade or migrate to the latest version using our new End of Life landing page.
The landing page is the primary resource for those seeking assistance with their ESET product’s upgrade or migration. It provides step-by-step instructions for all product upgrade scenarios that arise from our updated End of Life policy. In addition, the landing page will be continuously updated to include the latest upgrade scenarios related to End of Life.
Customer Advisory
We have also published Customer Advisory 2020-0010. The Customer Advisory gives detailed descriptions of the following major End of Life issues that ESET users need to address immediately:
- SHA-1 (operating system)
- Windows 10 (21H1 update)
- Cross Certification
ESET Knowledgebase Product Documentation
ESET Knowledgebase product documentation includes all Knowledgebase articles and Online Help.
The ESET Knowledgebase team only maintains and updates product documentation according to the new End of Life policy and support level descriptions. See below for the support level descriptions:
- Full Support products will have new and up-to-date product documentation
- Limited Support products will not guarantee new or up-to-date product documentation except for critical issues related to core product functionality and security
- End of Life products will have no new or updated product documentation
